Raffia’s irregular texture is part of the fiber’s natural charm; it also highlights the special savoir-faire required to weave it. Never use solvents on raffia. Dry the piece immediately with a soft, dry cloth so that the raffia fibers do not absorb water and swell. Finally, if your piece comes into contact with corrosives such as sand or salt, clean it gently with a soft-bristled brush.
Avoid contact with hand cream, hand sanitizer, make-up and perfume.
